Tessa Yutadco is an experienced corporate in-house counsel and litigator who provides fractional corporate counsel and litigation support services to corporate clients. Her services are well-suited for companies that benefit from experienced in-house legal support, but do not require a full-time in-house attorney or an additional full-time member of an existing legal team.

Most recently, Tessa served as Deputy General Counsel at a publicly traded, international medical device company. Previously, she was Vice President, Corporate Legal at a venture-backed biotechnology start-up, and she also held in-house counsel roles at a professional services firm.

Tessa’s expertise spans the full range of in-house legal needs, including drafting and negotiating commercial agreements; supporting corporate transactions and due diligence; advising human resources on employment law matters and employment agreements; managing and resolving complaints, claims, and litigation; managing domestic and international corporate entities; designing and implementing corporate compliance programs; managing insurance and risk programs; delivering employee trainings on a broad range of legal topics; and overseeing legal operations, including the management of legal staff and paraprofessionals.

Known for practical, efficient guidance, Tessa partners closely with cross-functional teams to drive matters to completion—whether negotiating significant commercial and corporate agreements or leading the design and rollout of internal legal and compliance initiatives.

Before transitioning in-house, Tessa practiced at a national law firm and then a boutique employment law firm, where she focused on employment law counseling and litigation and commercial litigation. She represented clients in all stages of litigation in state and federal courts and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
